Catching waves

Our band The Divide has been recording it's first LP for a while now, but due to angry neighbours we had to move the bass and drums recording to a rehearsal studio.
So we committed 2 whole days to setting up and recording it all.

Spring and beach house

Ah spring. My favourite time of year in Melbourne.
Everybody starts coming out of hibernation, the temperature pushes into the 20s and the days stretch longer and longer.

Perfect time for a road trip.
A bunch of us headed down to Chiffeni's beach house in Sorrento to celebrate alice's birthday, again.
Luke, Ackroyd Alice and I packed up our stuff into Emily's tiny honda civic after removing emily's shoe box, gigantic Jim Beam placard and tape box. Every square inch was utilised.

We stopped off in Rye to pick up necessities and cruised all the way there listening to Girl Talk.

We probably wouldnt have found our way hadnt it been for the iphone and google maps.
After a few dirt roads we eventually arrived to meet Dave, Dylan and Chiffeni, with the Grinch and Tom Walsh following behind.

Grinch got this bottle cap on his beer. The ironing is delicious.

We settled in for a heavy night of drinking and clothing modification, tossing in a bit of ritual office-wear sacrificing to the Suit-Lord. TBC

Lucy G

Who i'd turn gay for.

Well, It's too late now.

I can't go back. I just created a blog so that officially makes a 100% rate of friends who have blogs.
So just to add another drop of acid to the over-saturated interwebs, this is mine.

Alice and I headed to the Botanical gardens last week during the glorious Melbourne spring weather, we did the jam and cream with scones thing.

I scoffed down a bit.

Afterwards, we went walking through the gardens until we found a garden dedicated to women from the time of Australian federation. There was a birdbath and pond with lion gargoyle spitting stage 3A drought approved recycled water. Very nice.
